A Relaxing Sunday

Welcome to our page!!  I have been talking to Andy about starting a blog, so I finally put words into action and today is the day.  We have been resting most of the day after a long, but very very fun weekend.  Andy and my parents came up for Thanksgiving with their 3 dogs.  Crazy is not even a word to describe the weekend.  After staying at Walmart for 7 hours...yes I said 7 HOURS, we can home victorious with 3 flat screen TVs, a printer, and tons of other fun stuff.  Andy, Shannon- Andy's mom, and I decided we wanted to go shopping for Black Friday and boy did we.  I think we all had a wonderful time and doubt we will ever be able to top this year again.

As most of you know, I am pretty much obsessed with dogs.  Since moving to St. Louis, I have joined a rescue group named St. Louis Senior Dog Project.  We specialize in senior dogs, but also rescue dogs of all ages.  I love to get new pups and going to auctions a ton.  I got an email last week about one of the girls going to Auction Saturday.  Andy and I had not been fostering for a little while, we knew everyone was coming for Thanksgiving so we kinda wanted a break for that.  When I got the email, I of course had to let them know I wanted one.  I was soooo excited to see the list of dogs at the auction, and really wanted a Basset Hound puppy, I just LOVE their long floppy ears.  I quickly learned though that a Basset Rescue would be there to get them.  Long story short, we now have a GORGEOUS silver poodle baby.  She is only 4 months old and as sweet as she can be, I have decided to name her Barbie.  I have her wrapped up in a blanket laying on a pillow right now.  She has lived in a cage her entire life and needs some TLC.  She will be available for adoption soon!  I have to get her scheduled for shots and her spay surgery.  I dont think we will have her long.

Sorry this first post is long, Im just soooo excited to have my own blog!!!

Andy and I have been cooking tonight, Corn Chowder, its moms recipie and I cant wait to taste it!!  We only had one injury, Andy cut his thumb, but seems to be okay.  Thank goodness! :)

Missing everyone is Alabama like crazy.
